Jolyn Andrews, MSW, LCSW, CCTP
Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Patient-Centered, Strength-Focused Behavioral Health Care
Born and raised in southern California, Ms. Andrews moved to Phoenix in the year 2000. Since the age of 20, Jolyn has been passionate about fitness, and after giving birth to her son, who was born with a genetic disorder, she went back to school to earn her master’s degree with the intention of helping herself and others improve their mental health. Viewing mental health as being just as important as physical health, her approach to wellness is whole person care. There is a science-based link between the mind, chronic pain, and disease. Her mission is to provide comprehensive, personalized behavioral health therapy to patients and delivering successful outcomes for healing.
One could say that passion led her here. The pandemic has greatly affected everyone and the impact of “COVID fatigue” is real. One thing she learned during this unprecedented time is that underlying trauma and anxiety, depression and fear can take hold of a person – and the feeling it, it just won’t let go. When one is alone with their thoughts, scenarios are created, stories we sometimes tell ourselves take over.
There is nothing as good as seeing the revelation in a patient’s eyes when they realize they can change their mind, heal their own trauma, and become hopeful for the future.
What Propels the Practice?
Her belief that you can transform your mind! Overcome past fears, doubts, and misgivings. Learn how to think, feel, and choose consciously and healthily.
Favorite quote:
Romans 12:2 …and be not conformed to this world: “but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,” that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Jolyn is mom to 2 children, enjoys her friendships that date back to childhood and loves sharing time with her two sisters. You may find her on the pickleball court on the weekends, or hiking, going to the gym and earning her black belt in Tae Kwon Do during her down time. She’s an avid reader and studies books about the mind, and how the brain works.
